Worcestershire Arts, Health & Wellbeing sub group
Worcestershire Arts, Health & Wellbeing sub group was set up after the establishment of the Worcestershire Arts Partnership in 2010 and built on the work initially undertaken by The University of Worcester to develop a new network for the Arts and Health community in the county.Since the group began, it has met regularly and has delivered two successful symposiums in 2010 and 2012. The group has an active and expanding membership which includes health and arts professionals, representatives of the voluntary sector, academics and local authority officers. The group have a number of initiatives planned including more 'bespoke' events, training and adoption of projects across the county that they may support with resources and expertise. The group actively engages with the regional and national arts and health agendas.
The key aims of the group are:
• To provide leadership
• To create an arts, health & wellbeing support network
• To create a forum to discuss arts, health, & wellbeing matters
• To advocate the benefits of arts, health & wellbeing
