Ta Ra-Ra Brum-De-Ay took place in June 2012 at The Library Theatre, Birmingham and was a Victoriana Jubilee themed community theatre engagement project by Community Vibe and Don’t Go Into The Cellar with Birmingham Centre for Arts Therapies.
The project participants were from Piece of Mind, a local drama group for adults with mental health experience who worked alongside new members of the community and with a range of artists, directors and musicians on this professional theatre production. Both the actors and service users had input into the creation, devising and performance of Ta Ra-Ra Brum-De-Ay. Service users were creatively involved in the production and performance process of the project for therapeutic, positive well being and artistic benefits.
